#SpreadALittleKindess Campaign
The #SpreadALittleKindness campaign launched on World Kindness Day, November 13th, and provided tools and resources for parents to start teaching their children about fostering kindness and celebrating differences in others. The Little People campaign was created out of research that found children begin noticing physical differences in people and can ascribe meaning to those differences as early as 5 years of age.
Campaign Details
Unique Landing Page
The initiative was hosted from a unique landing page, which housed all the resources available to parents including digital copies of the books, articles, play tips, reading companions, videos, music, and more. The resources are free to all and provide a wide array of examples, activities, and ideas for how to teach kindness and inclusivity.
Original Books
The tools also included two original books written by authors of diverse backgrounds that have experience talking about this topic with children. The books were offered as a giveaway on the Fisher-Price website during the month of November and were later published and available for sale at major retailers.
Community Response
Book & Toy Donation
We partnered with We Need Diverse Books to donate $100K worth of books and Little People figures to classrooms, libraries, and organizations nationwide in need of materials and tools to help teach kindness.
